The Heritage of Lacoste

Founded in 1933 by tennis champion René Lacoste and entrepreneur André Gillier, Lacoste began with a simple revolution: sportswear that looked elegant and felt comfortable. The brand’s earliest breakthrough—the now-iconic polo—set the tone for everything that followed: functional design with unmistakable French style.

The crocodile emblem became one of the most recognizable symbols in fashion, representing confidence, precision, and a strong connection to sport. Lacoste’s DNA is still rooted in those values today.

Sport-Luxe Style That Doesn’t Shout

Lacoste sits in a rare sweet spot: clean, athletic design that still feels premium. It’s not “loud luxury”— it’s the kind of style that looks sharp because it’s restrained. That’s why Lacoste works across generations: classic silhouettes, refined details, and easy wearability.

From tennis heritage to modern street-ready looks, Lacoste has stayed consistent: sporty foundations, polished finishing, and a recognizable identity that never needs to over-explain itself.

Lacoste Watches: Brand Design, Watchmaking Expertise

Lacoste watches bring the brand’s sporty elegance into everyday timepieces—clean dials, wearable proportions, and signature cues that complement casual and smart outfits. Like many fashion houses, Lacoste timepieces are produced through a specialist licensing model.

Lacoste entered a worldwide licensing agreement with Movado Group to design, manufacture, and distribute Lacoste watches (and jewelry), pairing Lacoste’s design direction with dedicated watch-category production and distribution expertise.

Global Icon, French Roots

With a worldwide presence and Paris as its home base, Lacoste continues to represent a distinct idea of style: sport-inspired, polished, and built for daily life. If you want a watch that looks clean, feels modern, and carries a globally recognized name, Lacoste is a strong, wearable choice.

It’s the kind of brand that stays relevant because it doesn’t chase trends—it refines what already works.
